If you would have told me going into the final table that I’d finish in 3rd
I would have been stoked, due to my low chip count. †But after it got down
to three handed I had my heart set on the bracelet. So when I busted I was
a little disappointed.
Isaac ‘IluvtheWbna’ Haxton busted out on just the 3rd hand. He got it all in
with AK vs QQ and failed to improve. †Isaac is one of my toughest
competitors in the big NL games online and although I had just met him in
person during this tournament we really hit it off and got along great. †But
with all that said, I was happy to see him go as I moved one spot up in the
pay scale. I felt like one of my toughest opponents got eliminated.
After he busted, I felt I was the strongest NL Hold’em†player at the table.
This might sound like an arrogant statement, but I have almost certainly
played more hands of No Limit Hold’em than anyone else at the table and have
had excellent results playing those hands. †At the same time, I felt I was
one of the weaker Limit Hold’em players, as I’d probably played less than
1000 hands of Limit in the past three years, and never played it at a high
level. To make matters worse, I had Howard Lederer and Eric Lindgren
immediately to my left whom I would say are the two strongest limit players.
In spite of this, I decided I was going to play an extremely aggressive NL
and Limit game and simply try to make the best decision I could on every
hand.
I’d love to talk more about the final table, and will later, but for now I
have to get back to the grind; I am playing the 5k NL Shoot’out. †Every year
there seems to be one WSOP player who gets lucky and happens to make a ton
of final tables. †This year I’m thinking why not me

Not playing the 25k HORSE???? I would think that your final table showing would propel you into that tourney….. Your Calendar does not mention it, that is why I am asking.
